Again, this is a safe seafood festival that you must not miss during
19-21 OCT 2024 at the multipurpose yard in front of Mueang Ranong Municipality Office
(Xū Sìzhāng) from 04.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.

Ranong Province is represented by the provincial Provincial Tourism and Sports Office to hold the event, RANONG SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2024 for promoting the tourism of Ranong Province (by continuing the existing project) in the theme of the “SEASON OF SEAFOOD”. It will be the tourism promotion event with the globally famous soft power that is “Thai foods”. The heroes are the sea raw materials of Ranong Province with the seafood production potentials that meet the export standards regarding cleanliness and safety as certified by the Ministry of Public Health. This will create a new food tourism destination that will not only be seeing the globally beautiful nature of Ranong Province and the diverse cultures, but there will be new experiences that will be the delicious or local foods that you have never tasted in Ranong. There will be many interesting activities for the two days as follows.

Outstanding seafood shops focusing on cleanliness and safety for tourists to taste many cooked seafood dishes, selling the processed seafood from communities with over 50 seafood booths and providing rare seafood dishes such as Kok Sim Bee and boiled salty Lum Pok fishes
The dish that cannot be found in any other place in the world that is the Ranong Seafood Ka Yhee fried rice, which will be the RANONG SIGNATURE DISH, that will be prepared by a famous chef (Chef Por Annop, the champion of MasterChef Celebrity Thailand 2).
Free concerts by nationally famous artists with over 10 million followers who will come to entertain the southern part on 19th October 2024 by Pu Anchalee of THE PALACE band, Ink Warantorn and Ae Jirakarn as well as 20th October 2024 by Pek Phalitchoke, Sani, Tiily Birds and bands receiving national awards that will have enjoyable shows in order to make Ranong Province a globally famous city of foods

Mr. Narit Niramaiyawong, the governor of Ranong Province, revealed that the “RANONG SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2024” for promoting the tourism of Ranong Province (continuing the existing project) in the theme of the “SEASON OF SEAFOOD” will be during 19 – 20 October 2024 from 04.00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. at the multipurpose yard in front of Mueang Ranong Municipality Office (Xū Sìzhāng). The objectives are to make Ranong Province a “province of safe seafood”, to promote the tourism, to stimulate the economy, to generate incomes from the tourism for the entrepreneurs and the people in all sectors in Ranong Province who will gain the benefits from tourism activities, to create the tourism potentials of Ranong Province that will be widely known by people including Thai and foreign tourists who will visit and generate the incomes, to make the seafood festival of Ranong Province globally famous, to develop and support the continuity of the tourism activities that can attract both Thai and foreign tourists to Ranong Province all the year round, to generalize the complete project, to add new goals to the project, to improve the achievements, and to maximize the benefits for the local people in Ranong Province, where is known as a “fishery province” because it has abundant sea resources and seafood production potentials meeting the export standards regarding cleanliness and safety as certified by the Ministry of Public Health. This is considered as the outstanding characteristics that will lead to developing and promoting the tourism in order to implement the policies of Ranong Province regarding natural resource conversations on lands and that in the sea for conserving aquatic animals and provide sustainable occupations for the local people. Hence, the Provincial Tourism and Sports Office of Ranong Province cooperated with the restaurant club, Mueang Ranong Municipality, public organizations and private organizations to hold the exhibition and sell products with the activity, RANONG SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2024” for promoting the tourism of Ranong Province .

The “RANONG SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2024” will be presented with the concept of the RANONG SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2024. Ranong Province is a “fishery province” with abundant natural resources as well as unique tastes and foods that has continuously made Ranong Province famous. In every October, Ranong Province’s sky is open. It is the season of seafood. Mud crabs starts laying eggs. Prawns, shells, crabs and fishes start reserving fats. So, it is the period that the seafood has the best tastes in each year of consumptions. We will present the best food festival with the atmospheres of the beautiful world under the sea. There will be many interesting activities with over 50 seafood booths that you must not miss. Let’s taste Ranong’s Ka Yhoo fried rice, which is the dish that cannot be found in any other place in the world. It wil be prepared by a famous chef (Chef Por Annop, the champion of MasterChef Celebrity Thailand 2). There will be only 100 free serves and free concerts by famous artists who will entertain you in the festival. On Saturday 19th October 2024; let’s meet Pu Anchalee of THE PALACE band, Ink Warantorn and Ae Jirakarn. On Sunday 20th October 2024, let’s meet Pek Phalitchoke, Sani, Tiily Birds and bands receiving national awards. There will be the cooking contest with local foods from sea ingredients for prizes, the fast and the fussy eater contest with the safe seafood for prizes, the games for getting coupons to get free products in the festival, and the beautiful lighting decorations all over the festival.

Ranong Province is a province with seafood ingredient potentials because it is a province next to the Andaman Sea. It also has abundant sea ingredients with unique tastes and foods. There are many tourist attractions. It is the province with more hot springs than other provinces since it has 13 hot springs, perfect nature and cute people. It also supports economic growths and investments including the tourism industry under the Economic Corridor Development Plan for sustainably stimulating the tourism of Ranong Province.

Miss Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the Governor for Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated that TAT planned to drive Thailand’s tourism, to stimulate the secondary cities’ tourism that focuses on meaningful travels under the concept of the Amazing 5F and more, and to present Thailand’s soft powers including foods, flims, fashions, fights and festivals by holding the “RANONG SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2024”, which is an instrument supporting Thailand’s soft powers and create the good image of Thailand’s tourism that is one of the strategies stimuating the country’s economy through the tourism.
